Terms of Service
These Terms of Service are an agreement between you and Dilsho. They apply to everyone who uses the platform - customers, shops and riders - with extra sections for each role below. You accept these terms when you create an account (the signup form records the version you accepted and when) and by continuing to use Dilsho after any update.
1. The platform
Dilsho connects customers with nearby local shops and independent delivery riders. Shops list what they sell (usually straight from their Dilsho POS), customers order online, and riders deliver. Dilsho itself is not the seller of the goods: each purchase is a contract between the customer and the shop.
2. Accounts
- Give accurate details when you register and keep them up to date. Your mobile number is your sign-in id.
- Keep your password and one-time codes to yourself; you are responsible for activity on your account.
- One person, one account per role. Shop and rider accounts require you to be at least 18.
- We may decline, suspend or close accounts that break these terms - see section 7.
3. Customers
- Ordering. Place genuine orders only, be reachable on the number you gave, and be present (or send someone) at the delivery address.
- Prices. The price you pay is the price shown at the time you place the order, plus the delivery fee shown before you confirm. Prices come from each shop's own till and can change between visits.
- Cash on delivery. Orders are paid in cash to the rider on delivery. Please have the amount ready; repeatedly refusing deliveries or not showing up may lead to suspension.
- Cancellations. You can cancel an order free of charge until the shop starts preparing it. After that, cancellation may be refused because the goods are already being prepared for you.
- Problems and refunds. If an order arrives wrong, incomplete or unacceptable, tell us via the contact page or the app as soon as possible. We will work with the shop to fix it - replacement, correction or refund of what you paid in error.
- Reviews. Ratings and feedback must be honest and about your real experience.
4. Shops
- Listing accuracy. You are responsible for your catalogue: item names, availability and prices, which flow from your POS. Do not list goods you cannot supply or are not licensed to sell.
- Pricing. The price in your catalogue at the moment an order is placed is binding for that order.
- Fulfilment. Accept or decline incoming orders promptly; prepare accepted orders with the quality, quantity and freshness a customer would get at your counter; hand the complete order to the rider. Repeated unfulfilled or badly fulfilled orders may lead to delisting.
- Approval. New shops are reviewed before going live, and we may ask for registration documents. You warrant that the details you provide (CNIC, NTN, GST, licences) are genuine.
- Taxes. You are responsible for your own taxes and receipts for the goods you sell.
- Fees. In Phase 1, Dilsho charges shops nothing - no listing fee and no commission. If this changes, we will tell you clearly in advance.
5. Riders
- Independent contractors. Riders are independent contractors, not employees, agents or partners of Dilsho. You choose when to be online and which orders to accept; you provide your own vehicle and bear your own costs.
- Verification. You must hold a valid driving licence, provide the requested documents (CNIC, licence, bike registration) and keep them valid. You warrant they are genuine.
- Conduct. Deliver promptly and courteously, keep the goods intact, follow traffic law, and never deliver under the influence. Your live location is shared with the customer while you are on a delivery.
- Cash handling. Collect exactly the order total shown in the app and settle collected amounts as required. Failing to hand over collected cash is grounds for immediate removal and may be reported to the authorities.
6. Payments
Phase 1 of Dilsho is cash on delivery only - there are no online payments. The app always shows the exact amount to pay before you confirm an order.
7. Fair use, suspension and termination
We may suspend or close accounts that abuse the platform: fake orders or reviews, misleading listings, mishandled cash, harassment of customers, shopkeepers or riders, attempts to defeat our security, or any unlawful use. We will always tell you why, and you can appeal via the contact page. You may close your account at any time.
8. Service and liability
We work to keep Dilsho available and accurate, but the service is provided "as is": shops own their catalogues, and delivery times are estimates. To the extent the law allows, Dilsho's liability for any claim connected to an order is limited to the value of that order. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
9. Privacy
How we handle personal data - including rider location and the first-party cookies this site uses - is described in the Privacy Policy, which is part of these terms.
10. Changes and contact
We may update these terms as the platform grows. Material changes will be announced on this page before they take effect, and the version below will change. If you keep using Dilsho after a change, the new terms apply. Questions: the contact page.
